The Golden Triangle
The Golden Triangle OverviewThis is a classic combination of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur and is a wonderful introduction to northern India for the first time visitor. You will see stunning sites including, of course, the Taj Mahal, but the people, sounds and smells of everyday India will make just as much of an impression.
You’ll be travelling in style in your own air-conditioned car with a personal guide to ensure you get the most out of your visit.
The trip showcases some of the best historical sites and colonial architecture of the north. In Delhi you’ll visit the contrasting old and new cities, taking in both Mughal and colonial sites. In Agra the highlight will surely be the Taj Mahal, which you’ll visit at sunset to see the effects of the changing light and the next day at sunrise, before the crowds arrive.
Following a visit to the long deserted and atmospheric 16th century capital at Fatehpur Sikri, you arrive in the Pink City of Jaipur. There are some breath-taking sites here including the vast observatory, the beautiful Palace of the Winds and, a short drive from the city, the impressive fort at Amber, which is a wonderful place to stroll around, admiring the carvings, mosaics and elaborate mirror work.
This is a tailor made itinerary, so we can amend it should you wish to add an extra destination or two, extend your stay or add specific activities.
