This itinerary is an example only, and you may wish to add on more days to slow down the pace.

Day 1 Fly to New Delhi

Depart with your choice of airline to New Delhi.

Day 2 Arrival Delhi

On arrival, your driver and guide will meet you for a private transfer to your hotel.

The rest of the day is for you to relax. Overnight.

Day 3 Delhi sightseeing

Today, you will enjoy a full day city tour of Old & New Delhi. Witness the morning prayers at Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque and visit famous bazaars of Chandni Chowk & Rajghat crimination place of Mahatma Gandhi. After visiting the Old Delhi monuments visit India Gate built in memory of the soldiers who laid down their lives in the 1st World War. Drive past the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House, Humayun's Tomb, the mausoleum of Emperor Humayun’s & Qutub Minar.

Take a rickshaw through the old lanes to the famous bazaars of Chandni Chowk. Another highlight of your morning tour will be the spectacular Red Fort with its fantastic Pearl Mosque and the stunning audience halls. The Red Fort was built by the famous Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and the entire fort is made of red sandstone and your morning tour will come to an end with your visit to Rajghat, the Gandhi memorial.

After visiting the Old Delhi monuments visit India Gate built in memory of the soldiers who laid down their lives in the 1st World War. Your tour will also include a visit to Humayun’s tomb, a grand structure in red sandstone and white marble and Qutab Minar, a victory tower constructed in the 12th century.

Overnight in Delhi.

Day 4 Delhi to Agra

Leave with your driver for Agra. This afternoon, you will visit Sikandra, the tomb of the greatest Mughal Emperor, Akbar.

Afterwards, visit Agra Fort, the 16th-century Mughal monument situated 2 km from the Taj Mahal. The grand structure of the Agra Fort is made up of red sandstone with enclosure walls, the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan.

This evening, visit the Taj Mahal at sunset. Overnight in Agra.

Distance and journey time: 210 km, 3.30 hrs

Day 5 Agra to Ranthambore

Wake up early to watch the sunrise at the Taj Mahal.

Drive to Ranthambore. Ranthambore National Park is spread over a vast area of 392 square km and is highly renowned for its tigers, sambar, chital, boar, gazelle, monitor lizards, leopard, hyena, jackal, sloth bear, marsh crocodile, chinkara, nilgai and deer.

This afternoon, enjoy the first safari by a canter.

Day 6 Ranthambore

A full day to enjoy two safaris at Ranthambore National Park.

Overnight.

Day 7 Ranthambore to Kota

Drive to Kota, a city situated on the banks of the Chambal River. In the afternoon, explore the Rao Madho Singh Museum, City Palace and Fort, Jagmandir and Chambal Gardens.

Distance and journey time: 150 km, 3 hrs

Day 8 Kota to Pushkar

Leave early by road to Ajmer. The city of Ajmer is noted for the formidable Taragarh Fort which was constructed by Prithviraj Chauhan, the last Hindu King of India.

Continue to Pushkar to see the holy Lake and the famous Brahma Temple which is the only temple in the entire country which has got a deity of Lord Brahma.

Day 9 Pushkar to Udaipur

A long day ahead on your drive to Udaipur.

Overnight.

Distance and journey time: 260 km, 5 hrs

Day 10 Udaipur

Udaipur, the City of Lakes, is one of the most romantic cities in Rajasthan. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Udaipur including a visit to the City Palace Complex & Museum, the Crystal Gallery and Jagmandir in Pichola Lake.

This afternoon's excursion will include a trip to the famous temple complex of Eklingji & Nagda built in the 8th century AD. The Eklingji temple complex comprises 108 temples enclosed by high walls and Eklingji is the presiding deity. Another attraction of your afternoon excursion tour will be Nagda in Mewar and the 10th century Sas Bahu Temple which has very fine and intricate carvings including some erotic figures.

Overnight in Udaipur

Day 11 Udaipur to Ranakpur and Jodhpur

Drive to Ranakpur to visit the magnificent 15th century Jain Temples. Continue to Jodhpur for overnight.

Day 12 Jodhpur to Jaisalmer

A morning sightseeing tour of Jodhpur. The highlight of Jodhpur is the majestic Mehrangarh Fort built by Rao Jodha in 1459. The Fort has a beautiful museum and it contains a number of grand palaces. Visit Jaswant Thada the intricately carved white marble cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. We suggest lunch at the Umaid Bhawan Palace which is the royal residence of the Maharaja of Jodhpur.

Leave for Jaisalmer for overnight.

Distance and journey time: 290 km, 5 hrs

Day 13 Jaisalmer

A full day to explore the city of Jaisalmer, situated at the heart of Thar Desert. Jaisalmer is popularly known as the Golden City of Rajasthan with ancient palaces, temples and exquisitely carved sandstone haveli's, cobbled medieval streets and ancient Jain temples. Visit the 12th century Jaisalmer Fort which is made of yellow sandstone and then head for the Sam Sand Dunes.

Overnight in Jaisalmer.

Day 14 Jaisalmer to Bikaner

A long drive to Bikaner with a stop to visit the Karni Mata Temple in Deshnoke on the way. This afternoon, you will visit the Junagarh Fort and the Jain temples at Bikaner.

Overnight in Bikaner.

Day 15 Bikaner to Jaipur

Drive to Jaipur for overnight.

Distance and journey time: 350 km, 6 hrs

Day 16 Jaipur

Enjoy a full day tour of Jaipur including the Jantar Mantar Observatory, built by the astronomer King Raja Sawai Jai Singh II in the 18th century, the spectacular Hawa Mahal and the city palace museum.

An exciting afternoon excursion tour to the Amber Fort and Palace, one of the finest examples of the grandeur of Rajput architecture. Situated on a hillside and overlooking a lake which reflects the fort’s ramparts and terraces, the fort presents a marvellous view. Have dinner at the hotel and enjoy overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 17 Departure

You may catch a flight from Jaipur to Delhi to connect with your homebound flight or return to Delhi by road.
