Spectacular high alpine trek

I trekked the classic haute route, reaching several alpine summits and traversing glaciers along the way from Chamonix to Zermatt. The trek offered an amazing summer alpine experience, while walking through spectacular flower meadows, crossing beautiful clear rivers and streams, climbing amazing rocky peaks and traversing spectacular glaciers. It was a fantastic challenge and introduction to mountaineering at moderately high altitudes. The small group and enormously experienced guide really enabled me to enjoy the experience. The superb weather helped a bit as well!

The staff at KE Adventures were fantastic at providing information, as required, and very helpful on the phone. The itinerary was very well planned and the organisation of the trip was excellent. It all flowed very smoothly.

Days were long - climbs were high, and the challenge was constant. It felt like a real adventure. Cleverly planned, the route took us on little used paths and it rarely felt busy - thanks to our departure day, carefully picked to avoid the rush. The high mountain huts we stayed in created a community spirit and Alpine experience unto themselves. This was a physical challenge which pushed the whole team, and left us all smiling having completed it.

All round it was an excellent experience. The leaders in particular were very skilled, knowledgeable about the area and made the trip both interesting and challenging. I would definitely trek with KE again.
