You begin your journey in Tortuguero, where you will take to the waterways and explore by boat, an incredible selection of birds and animals such as sloth, toucan, macaws, caimen and monkeys. Next you travel to La Fortuna, set beneath the shadow of Arenal Volcano, where you will enjoy walking in 1968 Park and visit spectacular waterfalls. You spend a day north of La Fortuna, in the Caño Negro Reserve where you will experience a boat ride along the Rio Frio River, with ample opportunity to spot its impressive variety of birds, mammals and reptiles.

Your journey continues to the unspoiled cloudforest of Monteverde. Here you will walk within the Santa Elena Cloudforest Reserve and take a specialist birdwatching tour in Curi-Cancha Reserve. Spending time here, you may strike lucky and see Resplendent quetzals, Three-wattled bellbirds and many of the other exotic birds that inhabit this pristine environment. Your next destination, the volcanic Guanacaste region, offers a complete contrast to what you have already experienced, walking among bubbling mud pots, steaming fumeroles and striking blue waterfalls.

As your time in Costa Rica comes to a close, you journey west to soak up the sun on stunning Panama beach, the perfect close to a fabulous adventure.
