Fun-filled multi activity family holiday on the West Coast of Canada
Canadians are famous for their love of the great outdoors, and our family holiday is designed to make the most of this stunning corner of Canada. Right on the doorstep of the cultural gem of Vancouver, a paradise awaits for those seeking adventure and amazing wildlife experiences. We explore the highlights of the city; including the renowned aquarium and the totem poles of Stanley Park before relaxing with a laid-back beach BBQ. We visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park to climb the tree-top platforms and bridges and we can test our nerve on the new cliff-clinging walkways. For those who want to try their luck, we pan for gold at the Brittania Museum and even get to board a train and travel through an authentic gold mine! Climbing to the top of the Stawamus Chief, a 700m granite monolith is not to be missed for the stunning views across the Howe Sound before visiting the beautiful alpine resort of Whistler where we can opt to hit the mountain bike trails or paddle across the lake. After seeing some of the best of mainland British Columbia, we set sail across the Strait of Georgia on a scenic ferry journey to Vancouver Island. We set up home, based at a beach-front campsite at the laid-back surf resort of Tofino for a few days. From here, we explore the Pacific Rim National Park, take a wildlife spotting boat-ride to observe bears and whales and toast marshmallows on a fire on the beach. We transfer to Victoria, a very British city with its double-decker buses, afternoon teas, cricket pitches and traditional pubs before sailing back to the mainland to reflect on an incredible British Columbia adventure!
