Laos was an even more fascinating place to visit than we expected. poor but cheerful, communist but efficient, yet Buddhist to the core. Transport, especially road, can be a pain but our internal flights were timely. Tourism is becoming a substantial earner and the increasing erection of hydroelectric schemes threatens to alter the environment - (sadly there are few birds but the butterflies are varied and gorgeous). So,now is the time to visit. Don't expect to come back unscathed by hearing about and seeing the problems historic and current the country grapples wit.
Rating for tour operator:
Once again TransIndus managed our holiday with their usual pleasant efficiency.
