Great itinerary, pity about the guide
The trip itinerary was excellent, with great hiking, views and culture, and the food put on was very high standard. The only negative was that the guide provided for the trip, whilst knowledgable about the route, was not trained to a high standard with regards to safety. He took no account of the mixed abilities of the group, leaving slower members behind. This led to one of them collapsing through dehydration. After this experience, I effectively ...

The only negative was that the guide provided for the trip, whilst knowledgable about the route, was not trained to a high standard with regards to safety. He took no account of the mixed abilities of the group, leaving slower members behind. This led to one of them collapsing through dehydration. After this experience, I effectively sacrificed my holiday to ensure the safety of the group.
KE did nothing wrong. The booking experience was easy, and the supporting notes and suggesting packing lists accurate and useful.

The guide on your trip was a qualified, professional mountain guide of over 20 years experience, who was also elected President of the Bulgarian Mountain Guides Association.

Exhillarating climb of the 3 highest peaks in Bulgaria, stunning scenery, challenging hiking, wonderful guide, great diverse company, a great way to spend a week.
KE adventures organised everything, all I had to do was get to Sofia, 12 of us walked for 6 days, covering 75km, climbed 5300M, decended 5600M, climbing the 3 highest peaks in Bulgaria. Musala Rila peak 2925M Vihen Pirin mountain range 2914M Kutelo Pirin mountain range 2908M Amazing, exhillarating and challenging hike, in the company of "Kofe" our truelly excellent guide and a group of 11 other KE adventurers. I experienced some of Bulgaria at it's best, stunning unspoiled scenery, clear refreshing mountain springs, solid hearty Bulgarian food all in the great company of a diverse range of fellow travellers.
KE adventures were amazing, very helpful & organised everything. They have an amazing professional local guide who really made the experience work so well & navigated the challenges of group diversity so very well.

An excellent hiking trip in the Bulgarian Mountains
I travelled with KE Adventure Travel to Bulgaria on a week's hiking holiday in the Rila and Pirin mountain ranges. We were led by an excellent local mountain leader who had great knowledge of the routes and knew how to pace the group to make the most of every hike. The hotel/guesthouse accommodation and food throughout were great and the holiday included one night in a mountain hut in a gorgeous setting in the Pirin mountains.

KE Adventure Travel was very easy to book with. The online booking system and follow-on 'MY KE' section make it easy to provide details relevant to the trip and understand payments outstanding. When I had additional questions, the office staff were very helpful.
