Botswana Explorer Overview

The 13-day Botswana Explorer Safari Holiday takes you through some of the most popular game viewing regions of Botswana.

Your trip starts in the Chobe National Park, one of Botswana’s largest parks, known for its diversity of plant and animal life. Immerse yourself in the area by enjoying traditional day and night time game drives, giving you the chance to see some of the shyer and more nocturnal animals! You can also enjoy a boat trip along the Chobe River and see the pods of hippos bathing and playing gleefully in the water.

On day 4 of your trip, your Botswana Explorer adventure continues to the Linyanti Marshes – a beautiful area in the Chobe National Park. The Linyanti region is well known for its large elephant populations, especially at the start of the winter months. The area is also home to a large variety of other game including lion, wild dog, hippo, sable & roan antelope amongst other buck species, as well as the Red Lechwe and a variety of bird species – making this an interesting area for game viewing.

From Chobe you will move into the Moremi region. The Moremi Game Reserve is home to a unique eco-system including Savannah, lagoon and forest, which also makes it rich in diverse wildlife from plains game to the Cape wild dog and leopard. The reserve also forms part of the world-renowned Okavango Delta!

The final leg of your Botswana adventure takes you to a private concession just outside the Moremi Game Reserve. The area is known for its large open flood plains, making this a picturesque setting for any Botswana Okavango holiday. The area is also rich in wildlife and is one of the area where you may see the rare Sitatunga antelope and Spotted Neck Otter, with the drier regions being home to large lion populations, as well as a few leopard and hyena.
