Great lodges and people but the animals stole the show

Fantastic two weeks travelling through Botswana seeing the very best of Southern Africa. Too many highlights to list them all but the time spent swimming and socalising in the Okavango Delta with the local guides was definitely a highlight whilst we had to pinch ourselves to make sure we were actually watching so much wildlife including a Leopard only 30m from the dining area in Moremi. Too many highlights to list them all but the time spent swimming and socalising in the Okavango Delta with the local guides was definitely a highlight whilst we had to pinch ourselves to make sure we were actually watching so much wildlife including a Leopard only 30m from the dining area in Moremi. Seeing Wild Dogs catch an Impala right by the vehicle was special if not necessarily everyone's cup of tea to be so close. I traveled in November which was great as we completed most of the trip before the rains came yet peak season ends in October - it was pretty hot though!

Rating for tour operator:

I booked last minute really as there were less than 2 weeks before the holiday. KE got back to me within 48 hours confirming that the place was available which I considered very efficient. Ground dealing were however with a sub-contractor (Sunways Safari's) and then a further sub-sub contractor in Planet Okavango. It was made clear that this holiday was run by a third party but it makes it difficult to further rate 'KE' Both sub contractors on the ground however were great so no complaints!

KE undertook all booking arrangements and answered queries. Sunway safaris based in Johannesburg were the local agents. Fantastically well designed 'red elephant' bus to travel in and then, open game drive 4 wheeled drive vehicles in Moremi and Chobe. Everything well organised and timekeeping good. Some on the spot rearranging due to weather conditions.

A No. 1 Botswana experience with a Vic Falls finale

We are two No. 1 ladies who have just reached that significant age when you tend to become more 'traditionally built'. For us this was the trip of a lifetime. We are two No. 1 ladies who have just reached that significant age when you tend to become more 'traditionally built'. For us this was the trip of a lifetime. Best friends for more than 40 years, we have finally graduated to 'big time' travel. We drifted tranquilly in mokoro canoes under the setting African sun. We were astounded by the wildlife - so much, so close, so intimate. We wept when we soared in a plane over the Okavango Delta at the beauty below us. And we sobbed again when we circled in a helicopter high above Victoria Falls. We giggled uncontrollably every time we had to go 'pee pee' behind our tent in the middle of the night. We laughed till we cried as photos of two English ladies in sun hats. Our recommendation? Put Botswana to the top of your bucket list.

All KE Adventure staff was really efficient and friendly. They responded quickly to our queries no matter how small or bizarre!
