Highlights of Lunana Snowman Trek
Cross high passes to enter Lunana, the most remote region of Bhutan
Take a spectacular new route out of Lunana, researched by our MD, Steve Berry
Spend time with the people of Laya with their unique dress and cultural traditions
Look for rare tigers in the mountains near Laya where the BBC filmed ‘Land of the Lost Tigers’ in 2010
Enjoy first-rate camping facilities on trek and relax in a four-star hotel in Kathmandu
Treks don’t come any more remote and demanding than this! Nor more rewarding. Leaving civilisation behind we head north into the towering peaks of the Bhutan Himalaya, crossing 14 high passes and journeying through some of the most inaccessible human settlements on earth. In winter months the beautiful region of Lunana, ringed by high mountains, is totally isolated from the outside world.
From Lunana we continue on a new route that no other westerner had walked through before our MD, Steve Berry, when he recently researched it. It is a stunning exploration through a wonderfully wild landscape, and a fitting close to an exceptional trek.
