We thoroughly enjoyed our walking holiday in Austria with "On Foot". We loved the freedom of walking by ourselves using the excellent route descriptions provided. The scenery was stunning and the accommodation was thoughtfully chosen, providing a warm welcome and a true taste of Austrian hospitality.

This was our sixth holiday with "On Foot" and we consider ourselves to be seriously addicted! The service provided by "On Foot" was excellent. We had full confidence in the excellent route desciptions, allowing us to relax and enjoy the walking. A full "Walkers' Pack" was provided giving a wealth of information about the area as well as practical details to make our holiday run smoothly. The accommodation was thoughtfully chosen, to ensure that we received a warm welcome as well as a true taste of Austria. Our luggage was moved for us each time we moved hotels. Although we had no problems, it was good to know that we had the services of a local contact should we have needed it. We have always felt we mattered to the staff at "On Foot" and feel that we know them as friends through e-mail contact. An exceptional company providing an outstanding service. We are already planning our next holiday with "On Foot"!!

6 day walk through Austria, the weather was perfect for walking, hospitality of the local people really friendly. The hotels were of an excellent standard, I would definitely recommend this holiday.

Walking holiday in Austria. Very good medium-grade walking, directions excellent and paths uncrowded. Hotels generally very good and luggage transfers worked excellently

Very professional and helpful re transfer and walking alternatives

The 6 day walk took us from Bregenz, on Lake Constance through the foothills up into the Alps of western Austria. On Foot Holidays provided the route notes, maps and other essential information, and arranged the accommodation and luggage transfer at each stage. The accommodation was all in good quality hotels. The food was also excellent. The level of challenge met their description of moderate-hard accurately in terms of both walking distance and climbing. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. The locally based contact phoned us on the second evening to introduce herself and check whether we had any problems. The route was clearly meticulously planned and the current state of paths, etc, closely monitored, which is especially important in the Alps where conditions can change rapidly. The notes and maps were clear, accurate and easy to follow.

The staff could not be more helpful when we deal with them from the earliest stages of planning through the various stages of booking. They always take a close personal interest and deal with any matter promptly and efficiently.

Walking on average, 20k per day in Austria, staying at hotels and having bags moved.

Efficient, friendly, knowledgeable

A seven night walk in western Austria, medium to hard, moving from village to village with the baggage forwarded by the inns/hotels. The walking was mostly hill climbing (Alpine) and pasture done by just the two of us with instructions issued by the tour company. We've used Onfoot several times because they are excellently organised, the accommodation is good, the routes are interesting and everything is delivered as per their promise.

Onfoot has a range of walking tours with some variations allowed. From the exploration of their first class website, to booking, to local back-up, to post holiday feedback, Onfoot delivers on all its promises. Onfoot has a charming and efficient team which makes it easy and a pleasure to deal with them.

Everything we needed to prepare was there for us, directions, from walking out of the airport to get a train,to train times and options on the way back. Carefully selected friendly hotels, superb maps and directions for walking ( lovely weather but also alternatives in case it wasn't!). Bags transported without problems, hotels expecting us and happy to change rooms to ones with baths when possible, lovely food in each, and a call the day before we left to check we were ready and wish us well. The only criticism was the local rep did not call us, tho to be honest we did not need her and we had her number if we had done.

Called back when they said they would,called us the day before to wish us a good holiday, easy to pay, talked us through the levels of fitness etc needed, one of the staff had done the walks so spoke from experience. Easy to use web site, friendly and open staff, in short, great!
