To the ends of the earth

A great snapshot of an incredible region, from the vibrant cities of Santiago and Valparaiso to the wild regions of Patagonia where guanacos graze and condors fly. The amazingly vibrant blue of the glaciers, the snow capped mountains, the huge winds! Finally Buenos Aires, another vibrant city. We had great opportunities to see wildlife and fantastic scenery. A well organised and varied trip with a great guide. Truely memorable.

I've travelled with Journey Latin America on several occasions both for group tours and bespoke holidays. I have never been let down by them, in fact, they certainly go the proverbial extra mile.

3 weeks in Argentina

We had a great time in Patagonia. I would highly recommend both El Calafate for the glaciers, El Chalten for the walking around mount Fitzroy, the wine if Mendoza and the neighbourhoods of Buenos Aires - not forgetting a trip to “the end of the world” at Ushuaia.

A good introduction for a first trip to Latin America

13 days to Chili and Argentina, mainly discovering Patagonia as well as Santiago and Buenos Aires. Some walking but mainly discovering the Glacier Grey and Perito Morino as well as Torres del Paine Park. Ushuaia and the Beagle Canal. This was a group tour then we spent time in BA with family before going on to Iguazu and Yacutinga lodge before flying home.

Journey Latin America organised both the tour and the extension. Good hotels, good guides and everything worked easily. What I liked best was that we had time in all places and it was not rushed.

Much more favourable and enjoyable than expected.

If you want a well organised holiday in South America this one by JLA is to be recommended. Nothing was too much trouble for the 'guardians' who provide all the leadership need to make a success of it. All the popular tourist areas in Chili and Argentina in one trip One with memories that will last for a long time. Not even a minor hitch.

JLA must be one of the top tour groups for Latin America. The schedules were planned and timed perfectly. Handovers sleek and without troubles. Very professional operators.

Amazing first trip to South America!

I did the Lapwing tour with Journey Latin America, with an extension to the Iguazu falls, in Jan-Feb 2016. It was a fantastic trip! Saw so much. First in Chile: Santiago, Valparaiso, Punto Arenas, then did some walking in the Torres del Paine National Park, which was beautiful. Moving on into El Calafate in Argentina, the first trip was to the Perito Moreno glacier - where I did the 'mini-ice trekking', a great experience! That was followed ...

Moving on into El Calafate in Argentina, the first trip was to the Perito Moreno glacier - where I did the 'mini-ice trekking', a great experience! That was followed by a couple of days in Ushuaia in the Tierra del Fuego region - the southernmost city in the world. The highlight was a boat trip on the Beagle Channel to see sealions, imperial cormorants, and more... Flying back up to Buenos Aires, a beautiful city; I only wish I'd had more time there. Then on to Iguazu, which was amazing. I'd highly recommend seeing both the Argentine and Brazilian sides of the falls. My first trip to south America, but definitely not my last!

Rating for tour operator:

Journey Latin America were excellent from the outset. They recommended various tour options to me from my initial vague ideas about places I'd like to visit. After I'd chosen my tour and extension (which suited me perfectly!), they took care of all the arrangements and bookings with no problems at all. The guide on the tour was great. He was very knowledgeable and organized. He made the whole tour run smoothly for everyone in the group. I can't find fault with JLA, and would book with them again.

Patagonia topped and tailed with equally thrilling locations

Started in Santiago and Valparaiso, then we moved down to Punta Arenas and entered Patagonia proper at Lago Grey. A boat trip up to the glacier was a must & didn't disppoint. We moved onto El Calafate and the Perito Moreno glacier - again amazing. Then a spell in Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego, finishing in Buenos Aires.
