We are looking for a Digital Marketing Assistant who lives and breathes travel, to content write and develop our website and blog, ensuring the information is kept up to date with fresh and engaging content.
The promotion of our products through digital channels is a complex procedure of vital importance to our business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things marketing and travel. You will be enthusiastic about digital marketing and how the internet can become an even stronger asset to securing growing revenue. You will be tech-savvy with excellent copywriting skills and great ideas to reinforce our marketing team.
Your main responsibilities will be:
He/she will maintain SEO using the latest techniques and additions as well as plan and review performance of SEO Campaigns;
Use software such as SEMrush to identify and fix issues relating to the digital performance of the website (SEO, backlink tracking etc)
Use software to identify keywords and trends to then implement across digital channels
Maintaining the website (by updating HTML in the Joomla! CMS) on an ongoing basis to ensure customer journeys are optimized with a focus on UX and running simple AB tests onsite;
Working with the website agency and the PR & Content Marketing Manager, you will assist with website developments and functional improvements to improve conversion rate;
Work closely with the rest of the Marketing team to deliver strong cross-channel campaigns
Setting up key landing pages;
Daily and weekly Google Analytics reporting – reviewing data, thinking about implications and taking action to drive sales;
Working with Marketing Executive to write engaging blogs with SEO in mind
Essential Skills and experience:
Skilled copywriter
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
Excellent communication skills & highly numerate;
Strong IT skills and quick to learn new systems;
Flexible and proactive;
Good Microsoft Excel Skills;
Knowledge and interest in HTML, CSS, UX, CRO, AB Testing, SEO.
Desirable Skills and experience:
Travelled in Latin America, Africa, Asia or Europe
Experience of working with a website or digital marketing agency;
Experience of writing for online channels, with a knowledge of and experience managing Joomla! Content management systems or similar;
Experience with Adobe softwares (primarily Photoshop and Dreamweaver).
Strong web design skills considering the customer journey throughout;
