Amazing experience in the Highlands on the WHW

We had a great time on the WHW. Beautiful landscapes and the experience of walking on every day made for a wonderful holiday trip. Thanks Wilderness Scotland for the good job.

Walking - The Orkney Isles by Nancy E, 7 Aug 2014
Holiday Rating:

Best travel experience, walking tour of the Orkney Islands.

This trip was everything promised by Wilderness Scotland and more. Planning and logistics were excellent - all we had to do was show up in the morning and take in all the beauty and interest around us. Beautiful part of the world, full of historically interesting things to see, wonderful walking along sea cliffs, excellent food and accommodation, competent, interesting and entertaining guide. It could not have been better.

Nice place, shame about the weather

Luckily sea kayaking can be fun even in bad weather, its good to know you will end up in a comfortable hotel at the end of the day. Lovely clear water and great views when the clouds lift.

Outstanding Week

Great week, with fabulous food and accomodation. The guide made the week as she was really helpful, and knowledgeable. I had the best holiday I've ever had in the UK.

West Coast of Scotland sea kayaking

An incredible experience - a small group with two experienced guides, paddling in calm waters under blue skies with seals, porpoises and sea otters.

West Coast Explorer - Sea Kayaking trip

6 days exploring the west coast around Kintail, Soay, Skye and Loch Duich. Glorious weather, expert leaders and while the bunkhouse was typical of this type of accommodation, the wild camping was worth the midges and ticks just for the breathtaking scenery. The food was very good indeed. Good quality and plenty of it!!
