An exciting city to visit brought to life by enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. The history, architecture and artefacts made interesting and accessible while the wonderful organisation made the experience trouble free. Each day was a new treat with something different to discover while enjoying fantastic meals and good company to share the experience with.

My trip with Peter Sommer Travels was one of the best holidays of my life - a high-quality experience worth the expensive price tag. This was a mind-blowing in-depth historical/architectural (and gastronomic!)exploration of the city of Istanbul in the company of two warm and engaging expert guides and interesting, well-travelled fellow guests.

Our guide, a Professor of Byzantine and Roman archaeology with many years' experience of Istanbul, was complemented by a local guide of unfailing charm, knowledge and energy.
