Island Hopping in Thailand

Thailand is a beach lover's paradise. After a short Bangkok stopover, fly to Krabi and go island hopping in the Andaman Sea. Take the ferry to Phil Phi Island before enjoying lazy days on the amazing beaches of Koh Yao and Phuket.

Day 1: Depart by flight to Bangkok

Day 2: Arrival for a Bangkok stopover

Arrive Bangkok and take a taxi to the Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort for 3 nights. At leisure to explore on your own.

This contemporary hotel is complemented by classical Thai architecture and lush, sweeping gardens. A canal runs through the gardens creating an idyllic setting for relaxing in the heart of the City of Angels. A shuttle service to the nearby BTS Skytrain station is available for all guests, giving you access to the rest of the city with ease. If you feel like a spot of pampering then head straight to Mandara Spa where you'll find every conceivable amenity to aid your relaxation and rejuvenation. All rooms come with stunning views from a private balcony and broadband internet access for keeping in touch with the outside world.

Day 3: Bangkok city and temples touring

Private tour with your driver and guide. One of the most popular tours, bringing you along 3 of the most stunning temples, Bangkok has to offer! It features the “Wat Traimit” with its 5, 5, ton heavy Golden Buddha Image, the Wat Chetuporn (commonly known as the Wat Po), that boasts the over 45-meters long Reclining Buddha. Wat Pho is also regarded as the first centre of public education and is sometimes called ‘Thailand’s first university’. Mural paintings, inscriptions, and statues found in the temple-educated people on varied subjects such as literature, warfare, archaeology, astronomy, geology, meditation and to be considered, home of the Thai traditional massage. We end the tour with a visit to the Wat Benchamaborpit (also known as the Marble Temple): a representation of an outstanding success of a marriage between Italian Carrara marble and classical Thai architecture. Especially for those interested to know a bit more about Buddhism and its history, combined with the always-busy city life.

Day 4: Floating market and River Kwai tour

This busy full day tour takes you first to the rural yet world-famous floating market of Damnern Saduak, situated around 100 kilometres west of Bangkok. It is generally known as Klong Ton Khem Floating Market or Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Damnoen Saduak has officially three floating markets. A narrow canal flanked with food stalls and souvenir shops form the principal market at Ton Kem. Farther south is the rarely visited markets at Her Kui and Khun Pitak. Photographers at Ton Kem will get their best shots from the bridge, which crosses over the canal, and from the produce shed on the right.

Continue to the world-famous Bridge on the River Kwai, built during World War II by the prisoners of war. The bridge is located near the town of Kanchanaburi, 130 kilometres west of Bangkok. You will visit the well-kept Wat Cemetery of Allied Prisoners, which contain the graves of an estimated 9,000 Allied soldiers who lost their lives while building the bridge and constructing the notorious "Death Railway” which the Japanese had hoped to stretch all the way to the Burmese border.

This tour will bring you also closer to the past, as paying a visit to the JEATH Museum (the name “JEATH” is derived from Japan, England, America/Australia, Thailand and Holland), where the past has been created and relived with pictures and artifacts out of this time.

Return to Bangkok for overnight

Day 5: Fly to Krabi

Commence your island hopping trip with a flight to Krabi. At leisure to explore the region. We recommend taking a long-tailed boat to visit some of the smaller islands/beaches in the area.

Day 8: Take the catamaran to Koh Yao island

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to jetty and take the catamaran to Koh Yao. On arrival transfer yourselves to the Paradise Resort & Spa for 2 nights in a deluxe room.

The Paradise Koh Yao is a blend of a boutique beach resort and health spa; a tasteful and simple symbiosis of nature, comfort and style, amongst protected national parkland. Private villas and studios nestle adjacent to an untouched beach providing year-round natural luxury.

At leisure to relax or explore. Activities here include yoga, spa, diving, snorkelling, Kayaking, island hopping trekking and rock climbing.

Day 11: Take the ferry to Phi Phi Island

Take the ferry to Phi Phi Island. Arrive at Tonsai Bay pier and take a long tail boat to the Phi Phi Island Village Resort.

Day 14: Take the ferry to Phuket

Take a long-tailed boat to Tonsai pier where you will take the ferry to Phuket. On arrival, transfer to the Sala Phuket for 3 nights.

Tucked away in a secluded corner of Phuket’s Mai Khao Beach, the SALA Phuket Resort & Spa Hotel offers its guests optimum privacy. It's idyllic setting away from Patong’s busy streets and noisy beach crowds make the Sala Phuket an excellent place for luxurious romantic getaways and peaceful vacations. The Sala rooftop restaurant offers a unique dining experience with stunning views of the beachfront.

Day 17: Departure

Departure transfer for your flight home.
