If you have only 2 weeks, our holidays include Sydney, the Great Barrier Reef, perhaps Hamilton Island or Cairns/ Port Douglas, then the Red Centre.
If you have 3 weeks or more, we highly recommend, Sydney and Queensland, then adding a trip to Kakadu or Perth, Margaret River and Western Australia to see rugged coastline, surf and vineyards, or if in the Aussie summer, head to Melbourne and drive the Great Ocean Road to see the 12 Apostles. The East Coast of Australia has excellent onward links to New Zealand or Fiji in the Pacific making it a great stopping point on a round the world trip.
