Sea Kayaking Introduction Course by Richard, 30 Aug 2016
Holiday Rating:

A very enjoyable kayaking experience with professionals who care

Kayaking for beginners in the Highlands may not sound like the sort of thing that goes together, but these superb courses only made more enjoyable by the magnificent scenery it which it takes place.

Great trip tp the 'Wilds of Assynt'

Walking trip in Assynt, NW Scotland. Some challenging walking - which was perfect for me. Super knowledgeable and helpful guide, great fellow walkers, well chosen intinerary, accpom, and food arrangements. Couldn't fault any of it

(1) WILDERNESS SCOTLAND ORKNEY ISLANDS (2) WILDERNESS SCOTLAND CAPE WRATH

I HAVE JUST FINISHED TWO HOLIDAYS WITH WILDERNESS SCOTLAND - ONE TO THE ORKNEY ISLANDS (6 NIGHTS/7 DAYS) AND WHILST THE WEATHER COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER, WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TOUR IF YOU WANT A REALLY INTERESTING TIME - A NUMBER 1 GUIDE (KIRSTY),WELLORGANISED BOAT TRIPS/ARCHAEOLOGY/EASY WALKING/HISTORY/GREAT FOOD/EXCELLENT ACCOMMODATION AND A SMALL GROUP - THEN THIS IS FOR YOU. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. CAPE WRATH TOUR - WHAT A BLAST - WAS ...

WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. CAPE WRATH TOUR - WHAT A BLAST - WAS CONCERNED THAT I WOULD NOT BE UP TO THE LEVEL OF WALKING BUT MANAGED TO HUFF AND PUFF MY WAY ROUND. AGAIN THE HOTEL (INCLUDING THE FOOD) WAS TO DIE FOR (RIGHT ON A LOCH WITH VISITING OTTERS/SEALS),OWNERS THAT WERE VISITOR FRIENDLY (RARE IN THIS DAY AND AGE), ANOTHER GUIDE THAT WAS NUMBER 1 (JENNY) VIEWS (ONCE YOU GOT TO THE TOP OF WHICH EVER CORBET WE WERE ATTACKING) WERE FANTASTIC AND (IMPORTANT AS FAR AS I WAS CONCERNED) VERY LITTLE INTERNET ACCESS (YEAH) - AGAIN WOULD RECOMMEND.

Rating for tour operator:

WILDERNESS SCOTLAND COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL IN ASSISTING ME, FROM AUSTRALIA, WITH SOME PROBABLY INANE QUESTIONS. THEIR TOURS ONLY HAVE A MAX OF 9 PEOPLE (INCLUDES THE GUIDE) WHICH IS GREAT, TRANSPORT A NICE ROOMY VAN, ACCOMMODATION 5 STAR AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED (BOTH HOTELS WERE VERY WELL APPOINTED,FRIENDLY STAFF,DELICIOUS FOOD ETC ETC). OVERALL RATING (1 - 5) WOULD GIVE THEM A 5 PLUS

The Summer Isles by kayakanne, 26 Aug 2016
Holiday Rating:

Hugely enjoyable, brilliantly organised.

A wild camping and kayaking trip to the Summer Isles - what could possibly go wrong? Well, nothing as it happened (apart from the midges, and we can't blame Wilderness Scotland for that - they even provided midge nets and spray). The guides were supremely professional, worked ceaselessy to ensure we had a safe, interesting and hugely enjoyable trip.

They are very professional and everyone there did a great job.

We did the Grand Tour from Inverness to Edinburgh. Everything was great! In particular, their guides are very, very experienced and a lot of fun to be around. I would highly recommend them.

Wilderness Scotland did a great job planning out this trip. There were no problems whatsoever. All of the stops for coffee, lunch and accomodations were well planned and selected. The days of the trip were well thought out as well. It was great!
