We have just returned from a lovely holiday walking along the North Devon coast and exploring some beautiful parts of Exmoor. Despite wet weather and a chest infection we had a good time.

On Foot Holidays enabled us to make the most of our time from the very first day by highlighting the best walking routes, pretty villages and places to visit. The walking notes were very good and provided a lot of background information. The route description was straightforward and we never lost our way. We used the route shortening suggestions almost every day due to wet weather and ill health. Despite these setbacks the holiday was fantastic because of the stunning countryside, lovely villages and good accommodation. We enjoyed the variety of places to stay - a pub, a B&B and three small hotels.

We walked a route from Hadden's Cove to Dunster, through Devon and Somerset, before traveling to St. Ives to walk a loop along the Southwest Coastal Trail in Cornwall; these two trips lasted about 2 weeks. The landscapes and coastal vistas were spectacular as was the weather. We enjoyed our over-night accommodations no end. These were the second and third walking trips that we have completed with On Foot

In our opinion (we have been serious world travelers for many years), On Foot is quite a remarkable company. Not only are there "front-end" services superb; their "on-foot" services are as well. For example, in this dual trip outing, we ran up against a few unpredictable incidents: Although the company was not responsible for our travel between the two walks, I did contact them for support when it appeared that the rail strike would derail our projected itinerary. Within moments, they were able to tell me how to respond, by telling me to contact National Express Bus on-line and to book bus tickets, and sure enough, we were able to do all of this and arrive in St. Ives in time to start our walk without disruption to our itinerary. On our Exmoor walk, my husband lost one of his hearing aids and when we called the hotel to inquire as to whether this had been found in our room, they apparently alerted On Foot to our predicament and they helped relay the message that the missing item had not turned up. In the event, we think it had blown out of his ear when we were walking on the high Devon coast!! I can only think that this kind of attention is extraordinary, since in neither case was On Foot responsible for us! We also did their walk on the Camino Primitivo in fall 2017--another exceptional experience with the same apparent eye to detail.

From start to finish this was a triumph , to the hotels booked to the careful walking instructions , for the accurate timings and difficulty descriptions to all the tips and advice given .. just a brilliant holiday .

Beautifully organized walking trip through Exmoor -- I loved the literary connections and the historical notes each day. The coastal path and view of Wales was spectacular. But more than that -- it was July, it was hot -- and the shade that the enchanting coastal woodlands provided was most welcome. The accomodations were first-rate and the breakfasts and dinners so delicious. I love walking with On Foot because I feel like every detail is taken care of and my family and I can just enjoy the experience. Loved learning about Coleridge and all the rest -- it really brought all the high school poetry studying to life.

They love walking themselves and they know the routes! Also the local contact is responsive and so very helpful as we went along. This is not my first trip with them -- I am most grateful -- and I can't imagine taking these precious holidays with any other tour operator. Thank you!!!

Beautiful walk through the countryside of N.Devon & Somerset following old footpaths and staying in delightful places

We have booked a number of holidays in the past with On Foot and have never been disappointed.. The routes chosen and the places to stay are always been interesting and delightful. The maps and preparatory material provided are an added bonus .And we particularly appreciate the level of care and personal attention we receive from the staff.

This was a delightful holiday. We did the six night (five walking days) version which gave us plenty of time to appreciate the very varied scenery, flora and fauna and places of literary interest. There were four days of walking from one place to another and one day's walk, with many possible variations, that returned to the starting point.

This was (we think) our eleventh holiday with On Foot. They can always be relied on to devise excellent walks, provide all the information one could want, find very good accommodation and offer useful suggestions on where to eat out. Communication is brilliant: they are always on the ball and prompt to respond.

Our Coastal Exmoor walking holiday with Onfootholidays was awesome! The breathtakingly beautiful coastal views and footpaths were out of this world! Coupled with the beautiful riverside, moors, valley, and forest paths - what more could you ask for! As two "older" walkers, we were a bit leery of the uphill portions, but we took it slow and were rewarded with spectacular views. Each day was a different adventure, from the excellent accommodation to the scenery we encountered on each of the routes.

The staff at Onfootholidays were outstanding, so responsive and caring, we felt like we had family guiding us on this wonderful adventure. All of the accommodation they selected for our holiday was excellent, and the obvious research and planning they do for their walks is top notch. This was our second walk with Onfootholidays and it will not be our last!
