Excellent Restful Winter Holiday on La Gomera, thank you Cachet Travel

We had beautiful sunnyl weather, excellent accommodation, food and staff at the Parador La Gomera, it is in a great location in San Sebasatian with scope for walking. Good local buses and ferries, so no need to hire a car.

Cachet are excellent, we were able to have a stress free holiday as they arrange transfers between airports, ferries and the hotel.

excellent organisation led to a wonderful holiday

It was our Golden Wedding anniversary and we wanted a special holiday to mark the occasion. We are not frequent travellers and so we put ourselves in the expert hands of Cachet travel who totally organised our itinerary for a two-island holiday in the Canaries; four nights on La Gomera and five nights on La Palma, staying at the Parador on both islands and with car hire and ferry journeys between Tenerife and La Gomera and La Gomera and La Palma...

We are not frequent travellers and so we put ourselves in the expert hands of Cachet travel who totally organised our itinerary for a two-island holiday in the Canaries; four nights on La Gomera and five nights on La Palma, staying at the Parador on both islands and with car hire and ferry journeys between Tenerife and La Gomera and La Gomera and La Palma. We had a lovely time, delicious food, a delightful Gala New Year's Eve dinner, and days of hair-raising driving on the mountainous, twisting (but excellent) roads. Despite our advanced years we also managed a bit of walking. All in all a lovely memorable holiday.

Rating for tour operator:

When I contacted Cachet Travel I immediately felt great confidence in them. An itinerary was quickly suggested, alterations were made and all with the minimum of bother and effort from me. All queries were dealt with promptly and our paperwork arrived as expected. From the moment we landed in Tenerife everything ran smoothly and everyone involved was extremely helpful. Letters were waiting for us with detailed instructions at the airport, car hire, and hotels. We felt that nothing could go wrong as it was all so beautifully organised, and it didn't! What we felt that we received from Cachet Travel was the personal touch, a good knowledge of our destinations, and an involvement in ensuring that we got exactly what we were looking for.

A well organised relaxing holiday in special accommodation

We spent 8 days on La Palma Island in the Canaries. The first 3 were in the Parador de La Palma hotel near the capital, Santa Cruz and we then crossed the island in our hire car to self catering accommodation high up in the hills on the other side of the island. We had an excellent time. La Palma is a pretty island with enough interesting places to visit to keep us occupied as well as many beaches and plentiful seafood for more relaxing days...

It is quieter and less touristy than the other Canary islands which was to our liking as well. Well done Cachet Travel with your excellent accommodation choices which were just a bit more special; comfortable, peaceful and well located.

Thorsten Fibelkorn at Cachet Travel was extremely helpful and efficient, arranging a specially tailored 2 centre holiday that was just what we wanted. All arrangements went without any hitches and we are grateful for his helpful advice.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I am delighted that the two-centre option worked out so well for you, and that the travel arrangements from your preferred local airport via Tenerife all went smoothly. With so few direct flights from the UK, La Palma is not the easiest Canary Island to get to, so I am glad that you found it worth the effort!
