Wilderness indeed but well organised!
A great introduction to the Outer Hebrides; guide knowledgeable, unflappable, sense of humour. good variation of activity so learned a lot about the area in a short time.

Outstanding tour and guide.
This was an excellently run trip and even more impressive you Wilderness Scotland arranged for us to have quite wonderful weather - living in Texas the daily 60 degrees was a treat in itself. I can't say enough about our tour guide. She was so well organized always ensuring we had everything we needed. I can't say enough about our tour guide. She was so well organized always ensuring we had everything we needed. And her knowledge of the flora and fauna were stunning – when asked I don't think there was ever a species she didn't know about. She was a very impressive driver, never flagging while driving on those narrow roads that required your 100% attention. The three hotels were all excellent, I enjoyed the Polchar and Castlebay hotels the best because they were bigger so had more people (and very nice bars) than the Hamersay House but all three hotels had very comfortable rooms and excellent food. Our walks were all spectacular with great scenery, a perfect pace, and never overtaxing. I definitely want to take another Wilderness Scotland tour!

Wildlife & Water Wilderness Walking
A thoroughly enjoyable experience in fabulous weather conditions, apart from the midges, perambulating down from North to South through the southern half of the Outer Hebrides / Western Isles / Long Island and finishing in Cal Mac's home port of Oban. Not inexpensive but worthwhile; just be aware of the possible extras in cost ( I am a Scot) and time.

Rating for tour operator:Wilderness were very well organised and coped very readily with all the postponements (x3) that were forced on me by COVID. They did seem a trifle expensive, albeit I have not done any equivalent holiday elsewhere before, and the non optional extra jacket purchase were not really welcome as was the non inclusion of some meals on the trip. I hope they pay their guides a good salary as they are worth it.
A first class visit to beautiful islands
We visited North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist and Barra, walked on perfect silver beaches and rocky headlands, took a boat trip and saw wild life including seals and eagles.
