Sailing and walking experience

6 days sailing to remote locations on the small isles where we would go ashore and be guided on satisfying walks with spectacular views.

Excellent times

Had a really lovely time-was surprised it was the first wilderness Scotland tour run on eda fransen with Mungo and Stella as everything ran incredibly smoothly. Was fed huge amounts, had a super comfy bed and got to get a wee bit involved with the sailing. Mark the guide was great, knowledgeable and passionate about his job. Had an amazing group as well.

Rugged countryside with a knowledgeable guide

We spent 6 days hiking around the small islands and Knoydart Peninsula. At the beginning we had very nice weather and spectacular views. Toward the end of the week, the weather turned, raising the difficulty of our day trips and causing our plans to change on the fly. Our guide was very knowledgeable and able to adapt the walks accordingly. It was obvious he loved what he did and knew not only about the history of the areas we hiked, but also about the geology and forestry planning policies in place. We learned a great deal and everyone in the group contributed positive energy to the experience. I would definitely consider another trip with Wilderness Scotland. The weather is the only reason I can’t give it an excellent overall rating. And I understand that is no one’s fault, but it did impact my enjoyment.

Landscape photography with Colin Prior

Colin Prior's hands-on teachings have changed my perspective on landscape photography and have made me discover more about how I relate to nature - the key to powerful photography. His knowledge of nature and precise eyes have been quite a source of inspiration.

Rating for tour operator:

Wilderness Scotland has staff eager to efficiently help and is well run. Few improvements have been noted and submitted to the crew. Despite these, I highly recommend them and I am currently looking which will be my next adventure with Wilderness Scotland.
