Peaceful vineyards and delicious port wine!

Our walking holiday through the Duoro Valley was beautiful. We were alone with the vineyards for the entire route. Lovely views of the valley, delicious food, and excellent wine. A treat!

Our tour operator was InnTravel. They included detailed walking notes, which we had to rely on exclusively since the topographical map was not helpful for our walk. We saw other couples from other operators who had been provided with GPS devices, and I hope InnTravel will do that in the future. The Graham Port Wine tour in Porto was exceptional, and all of our accommodations were very nice. InnTravel was organized with their paperwork and responded to email within 3-5 business days.

Walking in the Valley of Gold Portugal

We managed to time the holiday to perfection, not only having sunshine for the whole time but seeing the grape harvest in progress on the beautiful hillsides and visiting some Quintas to understand the production of port. The walking routes gave us the opportunity to see the vineyards at close quarters and were the right length to allow time for a relaxing swim in the hotel pools during the afternoon. The Douro Valley - a golden walking opportunity with views to the end of the world

This was superbly organised. It was a challenging week in beautiful, if rugged scenery, filled with wild flowers between all the vineyards and olive groves. Our luggage was transported for us faultlessly and we knew that at the end of an 8 hour walk, we would arrive at a wonderful guest house where we could take a good shower and relax - with a glass of something cold.

Knowledgeable, friendly, thorough, patient, responsible and responsive - they go out of their way to make sure that all our requirements are catered for. They are superb. They inspire confidence. We have used them previously, we will use them again and we recommend them to everyone.

Walking the Douro Valley in spring with vineyards breaking bud, flowers in bloom and lushness everywhere!

Our party of three just completed The Valley of Gold self-guided walking tour in Portugal--one week of amazing walks through the Portugal countryside along the Douro River. InnTravel is EXCEPTIONAL! This trip was our second with them, and we're already planning our next one for 2017 with them. The hardest part will be deciding on where we want to go! From accommodations to travel notes to logistics, they had every base covered--and their follow-up throughout was spot on.

We had an outstanding walking tour in the Douro Valley with Inntravel

We signed up for the 7 day walking tour in the Douro Valley in Portugal. We began in Porto and then traveled up the Douro valley. The Walking tour was very organized and our luggage was transported to each accommodation. The selection of accommodations was outstanding. The notes provided by Inntravel were very accurate and their advice was very helpful.
