Highlights of Nepal Overview

This holiday offers a superb chance to gain an insight into the culture and history of Nepal and to enjoy some wonderful Himalayan trekking and river rafting.

Your guide will be on hand throughout the trip to help you get the most out of your time in Nepal.

You’ll be staying in comfortable and hotels and will travel in a private vehicle. Your adventure begins in the capital, Kathmandu. You’ll have a full day guided tour taking in temples, squares and markets, before heading out of the city for a 5 day trek in the Annapurnas, passing through villages and lush forests and staying in local teahouses.

There’s more activity and excitement in the dorm of river rafting. This will be a full day and the rafting should last about 5 or 6 hours. No experience of special skills are needed, just a spirit of adventure! You’ll be camping overnight on the riverbank. This is followed by 2 full days in Chitwan National Park. You can go o guided walks, take jeep safaris and, the local speciality, elephant-back safaris. Chitwan is an excellent place to see large mammals including the rare Asian one-horned rhino.

The holiday concludes in Kathmandu, with a full day to explore the Kathmandu Valley with its medieval towns, narrow car-free streets and impressive architecture, including many Tibetan monasteries.
