Burgundy photography tour by Light & Land Ltd

Burgundy

The very name “Burgundy” conjures up images of ordered vineyards, musty “caves”, medieval villages, small fields hemmed in by dense hedgerows. Our Burgundy photography tour works with these familiar topics to help guests build distinctiveness into their portfolios by learning some of the techniques that have earned Niall Benvie his reputation as an innovator over a 25-year career as a working photographer.

Naill will be joined by his wife Charlotte, guests value not only her expertise in the kitchen and dining room but her attention to detail and warmth. She has a keen eye for a picture too and is a dab hand when it comes to Lightroom processing. Niall and Charlotte will concentrate

Niall and Charlotte will concentrate on creating a lovely ambiance at our accommodation and providing a high standard of food throughout the tour, to be eaten in, and out in the field as required. The house model coupled with our exclusive use of the Chateau’s fabulous barn conversion, allows a degree of flexibility that hotels cannot match and, we believe, adds value to the offer. Each room has its own shower and toilet and there are large public areas where we can hold tutorial, view images, eat and relax. The rooms are comfortable with a zen-like mood - everything is white with minimal decoration.

Days are organised to allow us to be in the field early and late, as light dictates, and to allow periods in the day for post-production work, holding tutorials and reviewing the guests’ work. Our model recognizes the need to balance the guest’s wish to create with their need to relax.
