We had 4 days in the colonial capital of Antigua experiencing the incredible Easter processions and floral displays. We also climbed a volcano. We had 3 days at beautiful Lake Atikan exploring Mayan villages and markets. We then went to the outstanding Mayan ruined temples at Tikal. This was the trip highlight. We finished with 3 days at a jungle lodge in Belize and then JLA arranged an extension at an island resort.

This is our third trip with Journey Latin America who are the experts for South and Central America.

Visited 6 countries in 22 days - from Panama to Guatemala- incredible variety from Caribbean islands, Rain forest, Pacific beach, lakes, volcanos, colonial cities, Mayan ruins, local workshops, fascinating history - every day a different experience and a huge surprise Led by a very competent, enthusiastic, knowledgeable guide. .

We stayed on the caribbean coast in Tortuguero for 3 nights. Amazingly quiet, so much wildlife and enthusiastic guides to show it all to us. Then 4 nights in La Fortuna with more wildlife/hikes/ zip-wiring/ hanging bridge tour, lots of adventure and fun! Finally 6 nights surfing on the Pacific coast, nosara.
