Meticulously planned itinerary to Jordan by Ciceroni

The quality of Guides was excellent (one from UK, a professor of ancient history and a Jordanian) Hotels were very well chosen for location, comfort and facilities. Extremely good coach driver for all of the trip Sites visited were well planned and extensively covered without being over the top

Rating for tour operator:

Quality planning of sites to visit, leaving out lesser important ones, very comfortable hotels, food, very knowledgeable guides, who communicate well and inclusive welcome for all guests especially those travelling alone. Every effort is made to make everyone happy!

Jordan History Adventure

We were lead by a leading academic, assisted by a local guide, through a visual history of the country from the extreme North right to the extreme South. Although we stayed for 3 nights in 3 good hotels we were bussed to Amman, Qasr Al Kharana, Um Queis, Jerash, The King's Highway, Karak, Petra, Little Petra, Wadi rum, Aqaba, jordan rift Valley, Dead Sea Resort, Christ's Baptism Site, Mount Nebo and Madaba. We had lectures whilst on the bus and, although the pace was quite intense, we were allowed enough down time to avoid exhaustion. our meals were well organised and we had no problems with the authorities as we also had our own policeman.

Jordan; a fascinating and interesting country - excellent guides, hotels and good company within group of fellow travellers

This was my first visit to the Middle East. Jordan has a lot to offer in terms of history, religion and its surprisingly varied terrain; I did not appreciate beforehand just how mountainous a country it is. We travelled from the north to the south of the country taking in,for example, Roman settlements, Deserts and desert life, the Dead Sea and Petra. We travelled from the north to the south of the country taking in,for example, Roman settlements, Deserts and desert life, the Dead Sea and Petra. We saw places such as the River Jordan, Sea of Galilee, Mount Nebo whose names we have known about since childhood. Also we gained some understanding of current issues which affect the Jordanian people such as the pressure caused by refugees, shortage of water to name but two. The hotels we stayed in offered high standards of accommodation and food.

Very efficient, pleasant and helpful. One senses that a lot of research and preparation is put into all aspects of every holiday. The itinerary [a summary is provided for each day] is well thought through so that sufficient time is given to visits for each day, without one feeling at the end of the day either rushed or exhausted. As a solo traveller I welcome eating with the group each day, normally either Lunch or Dinner. Not only is this nice socially, but once again a lot of thought and planning has gone into selecting restaurants. The hotels chosen for each stay are of a high standard in all respects.

Petra cast its magic, as did Wadi Rum with thoughts of Lawrence of Arabia. Our final destination was the Dead Sea which has to be experienced to judge its impact. From there we were privileged to stand where Moses saw the Promised Land and the River Jordan where Christ was baptised.

This was my second experience of 'Ciceroni' Travel and I look forward to joining further tours. Comfort is given the same priority as the destination.
