Lake Garda Overview

Explore Lake Garda with your fellow solo-group travellers, taking in Europe’s largest lake, charming towns, citrus groves, and Alpine backdrops. Enjoy wine tasting, boat trips, a Dolomites cable-car, and visits to Verona and Venice, all while soaking up the region’s stunning landscapes and culture.

With your fellow solo-group travellers, explore Lake Garda, not far from the city of Verona. It is one of Europe’s most breathtaking sights and Italy’s largest lake. Colourful citrus and olive groves flourish in its delightful Mediterranean climate and the grandeur of the Alps forms a backdrop to the many charming old towns and villages scattered around its shore. Mountainous landscapes, hillside villages and harbour towns line the shores of the narrower, more dramatic northern end, whereas the sun-wrapped south is much flatter and wider, with the Sirmione peninsula protruding from the south. On the eastern shore, Bardolino and Garda are two of the most beautiful places to stay on the lake. The area behind the two towns is full of farms with vineyards and groves producing the famous olive oil from the area. This holiday includes all excursions and many extra treats, such as a wine tasting, boats trips, a cable-car ride in the Dolomites, Romeo and Juliet’s Verona and the floating city of Venice.
