Friuli -Venezia Giulia Traveller Reviews

From the outset we received a very warm welcome from our guides whose erudition about the places we visited and their place in history constantly amazed us. We saw incredible mosaics of immense size, wonderful colours with magical delineations of a host of sea creatures and other animals in the Basilica at Aquileia. We gazed in wonder at the works of Tiepolo in the palaces in Udine. In Cividale dei Friuli we visited a rare medieval church "The Lombard Temple" which had a unique atmosphere as did the Abbey of Santa Maria in Silvis and these are only a part of the total trip which very importantly also encluded some excellent dinners and lunches!

Ciceroni goes to immense trouble to search out places not always seen by the general tourist, they provide excellent well informed guides and specialize in good food too!

This holiday commenced very well but my activities were then disappointedly curtailed by a 'bad back'

Oranisation Lecturer Charles Freeman and tour manager James Hill were all excellent.James Hill was superb in the way that he negotiated with Emirates for my premature return to australia

It was very informative and you are extremely well looked after.

The standard of the lectures on these trips is extremely high. The visits to the various places of interest are excellent.There organisation is first class and the attention to detail is superb.
