Walk Along the Ligurian Coast

A fabulous walking holiday along the spectacular Chinque Terre on the Italian Riviera, but you don't have to walk if don't want to, the trains, buses and boats provide cheap transport to each of the 5 towns. Our holiday included an additional 2 nights in Camogli, just south of Genoa.

This was our second holiday with Inntravel and once again they were superb. They arranged everything, even though I was driving and not flying to the area as most people do. They provided excellent information about the walks and the Chinque Terre, and arranged for secure parking at one of the hotels on route for the duration of the holiday.

It's true that most of our customers do fly to their holiday due to time constraints, but how you reach our holidays is entirely up to you - we can book a range of routes across the Channel if you are taking your car, and also have lots of experience in booking rail travel with Eurostar and onward services across Europe.

Cinque Terre - Cinque Stelle

We hiked around the Cinque Terre region of Liguria using arrangements and notes provided by our operator Inntravel. The region is stunning. Some parts are very popular, so if it is solitary contemplation you seek, go elsewhere. The villages are lovely and very friendly. The hiking trails are somewhat challenging but worth the effort. The accommodation was variable but never inadequate - clean, well equipped and with very friendly, helpful staff...

Some parts are very popular, so if it is solitary contemplation you seek, go elsewhere. The villages are lovely and very friendly. The hiking trails are somewhat challenging but worth the effort. The accommodation was variable but never inadequate - clean, well equipped and with very friendly, helpful staff. Public transport is easy and inexpensive. The food is also variable because much of the region is very tourist-centered but there are some excellent places to eat and excellent value options.

Inntravel has always provided us with top-rate walking holidays. Their arrangements for travel and transfers are always spot-on. The accommodation has always been at least very good, and in most cases excellent. The walking notes are perfect. After 4 holidays with Inntravel I have no complaints at all.

You're right that Liguria is not as 'off the beaten track' as most of the destinations we offer, but that's understandable given the scenery which, as you say, is simply stunning - we particularly love the higher, lesser-known paths and feature these in our routes. We're glad that you enjoyed your holiday.
