Rio & the wildlife of Brazil

Rio & the wildlife of Brazil Overview

Three of the most uniquely Brazilian aspects of Brazil - Rio, the Amazon and the Pantanal!

Brazil is a fascinating country, with almost too many attractions to pack into a single trip. We’ve designed this holiday to show the best of Rio and the incredible wildlife of the country.

Live it up in Rio over 3 nights including one full day tour. See Sugarloaf Mountain & Christ the Redeemer, the various stunning beaches, and the city's many colonial buildings.

On day 4 you fly inland to explore the teeming and exotic wildlife of the southern Amazon staying at the remote and fabulous Cristalino Lodge. See the rainforest from the canopy tower, walk the forest trails to see a huge array of birds, and don't miss the mammal clay lick where you might come across tapirs and other wildlife.

From the Amazon you head south to the northern Pantanal. From the lodge we take you to here, you get an almost guaranteed chance to spot jaguars in the wild! This would be the highlight of the trip for many people, but you can also see a variety of other mammal and bird species too.

You're right, it's not a cheap trip, but this is a very special adventure with that rare chance of spotting jaguars in the wild which very few people get to experience. Combining jaguar spotting with Rio and an Amazon adventure makes this a truly fabulous trip. Definitely one for real wildlife lovers.
