Everything about our time at Dar Imlil and the Azzaden Lodge was exceptional. Our corner room at the Dar Imlil was gorgeous and we had marvellous views from both balconies. The food at Dar Imlil was excellent and the cook had no problem meeting our needs as vegetarians. The same was true at the Azzaden Lodge. The staff at both locations made us feel as if we were a part of there family. We can’t say enough about our mountain guide Abdul. It was a joy to be with him and his selection of trekking routes was superb. We would highly recommend Abdul as a guide for anyone thinking about trekking in the High Atlas.

From our first contact to our last the tour operator was phenomenal. The information that was provided was very clear and all of our questions were answered quickly.

This is a really hard review to write because it was a lovely holiday and every single person who was with us, were not only some of the nicest and most professional we've encountered but also the kindest and most hospitable. It made for a great trip. We extended our days in Imlil because we enjoyed the hiking. And if you're like us, this is something to consider. We bumped into another couple and we agreed that each trail comes with a different landscape so you're never bored. Marrakech is nice but we personally found it a little overwhelming with the noise and hustle/bustle but we were also given great recommendations by the Discover team so it ended up being quite fun.

This was booked pre-Covid. Despite the borders opening up etc, we were only able to travel in 2023 due to various personal commitments. And then there was the unfortunate earthquake. We almost gave up on the idea! But the Discover team are wonderful. They helped us find a suitable travel window and it happened. They are a very professional team - responses were timely and full of detailed information. Very reassuring - they even went out of their way to help with additional facilitate bookings / appointments which made our stay in Morocco great. But what truly made the entire experience quite special was he warmth and the hospitality of the team - from the day we booked our trip to the day we left. I can't recommend them enough.

5 nights in High Atlas, 2 nights in Essaouira

Discover Ltd were great at pretty much everything especially given the circumstances created by the Earthquake and were able to offer excellent alternative accommodation and deal with a last minute change in departure time. All local staff were superb as was the food,

We stayed in the Atlas Mountains for five nights summiting Toubkal at sunrise on the fourth morning. Our guide was excellent and we had meals cooked for us and a mule to transport our luggage. We stayed in Dar Imlil, a trekking lodge and the Mouflon refuge hut - they were all great.

We booked with Kerrie Wrigley at Discover Ltd. Everything was organised well including transfers and information about what to pack. It was a great experience which we will tell everybody about.

5 day all inclusive trekking holiday in and around the Imlil valley in the high Atlas mountains

Discovery Travel is a UK based operator. We booked the trip from Australia and communication with the operator was smooth and easy. No hiccups. Information provided was comprehensive and accurate.

We spent 3 nights at Kasbah du Toubkal in the High Atlas Mountains, followed by 3 nights in Marrakech at Riad Les Yeux Bleus.

The arrangements were flawless. Everything ran to schedule without any hiccups.

We particularly enjoyed the mountain villages and village life we witnessed.

V efficient and helpful

We had a nice hotel room in Marrakech and enjoyed our time there and in Essaouira. With the exception of a hitch at the airport all transfers and drivers were done professionally and the cars were in great shape. Kasbah Du Toubkal in Imlil is a nice property, but in need of a refresh. There are tons of random documents all over the walls from volunteer events and groups from long in the past that take away from the beauty of the place. The food was good but there wasn't much variety - breakfast was the same every day and lunch/dinner was always a tagine with melon for dessert. It was exotic food on the first night but by the 7th night (including the high mountain lodge) it was too repetitive. Our room had random couches, blankets and decor that needed to be rethought and coordinated better. But the property is indeed lovely; it just seems like no one has really looked at it in a long time. Great trekking guide and appropriately long treks every day which I'm sure they would have adjusted if we'd asked. They did a really good job providing hot lunches on the trail and setting up a place to relax. We really enjoyed that and the remote trekking lodge! Thank you!
